Howard Edgmon Harrison

Howard Edgmon Harrison of McKinney, Texas passed away on November 11, 2019 at the age of 73.  He was born October 21, 1946 to Robert Wallace and Mary Lillian (Edgmon) Harrison in Smackover, Arkansas.  Howard grew up in Smackover where he graduated from Smackover High School in 1964.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  Howard married Rebecca Fay Payton on February 15, 1969 in Smackover, Arkansas.  They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February. He started Ouachita Baptist University and finished his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and finance at the University of Texas Arlington. Howard then obtained his Master’s Degree in Accounting at West Texas A&M University.  He worked as a comptroller at Bell Helicopter for 40 years, working in Amarillo, Texas and Hurst, Texas.  Howard loved spending time with his family and traveling with Becky.  In his recent years, he loved attending all of his grandkids activities and watching them play sports.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rebecca Harrison; children, Kristin Ellis and husband, Brent and Robby Harrison all of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Madison Ellis, Greyson Ellis, Caden Harrison, Kelsie Harrison and Kendall Harrison; brothers and sister, Raymond Harrison and wife, Mary of Arlington, Texas, Rev. Lawrence Harrison and wife, Donna of Bryant, Arkansas, Lillian Burian and husband, Ron of Eldorado, Arkansas and Harold Harrison and wife, Paulette of Mesquite, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bobby Harrison.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, November 15, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas with his brother, Rev. Lawrence Harrison officiating.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
