Hiramer Jean Jacobs

On Saturday, January 30, 2021, Hiramer Jean “Cheetah” Jacobs, age 74 transitioned to her heavenly home. She passed away in McKinney, Texas.

She was born in Vernon, Texas on April 25, 1946, to the union of the late Hiram Taylor and Margaret Avery. Ms. Jacobs accepted Jesus Christ at the early age of 14 years.

Ms. Jacobs was united in holy matrimony to Mr. James Henderson, Jr. on April 22, 1962 in Vernon, Texas. Mr. Henderson preceded her in death on October 21, 1965.

To this union Adrian Henderson, Rhonda Henderson, and James Henderson, III were born. Her son, Adrian Henderson preceded Ms. Jacobs in death.

Ms. Jacobs married Claude Jacobs in Tulsa, Okla., On July 27, 1996. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2001. She retired from the Social Security Administration. She relocated from Tulsa, Okla. to McKinney, Texas in 2010 to be near her family. 

Ms. Jacob’s is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Henderson of Columbia, MD; son, James Henderson, III of McKinney, Texas; siblings, John Earl (Virginia) Wooley of Arlington, Texas,  Emma T. Johnson of Forney, Texas, and Paula J. London of Los Angeles, California; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Henderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four handsome grandsons, Dominique Henderson of San Diego, California, Jasob Henderson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Christopher Drati of Los Angeles, California and Trent Henderson, of Tulsa Oklahoma who will greatly miss her.  She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends to mourn her passing and celebrate her life.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Cora Pearl Canady and her brothers, LC “King” Evans, Leonard Evan, Jr. and Anthony Ray Wooley.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at Ross Cemetery, McKinney, Texas.
