Hettie Mae Vaughan, age 88, of Allen Texas, passed away February 27, 2018. Hettie was born on February 26, 1930, in Princeton, Texas to Horace Herman Lokey and Tessie Ann (Thorne) Lokey. She grew up in Princeton, Texas where she graduated from Princeton High School. Hettie married Max Oliver Vaughan on August 29, 1953 in Nevada, Texas. She kept school teachers children in her home and would refer to them as “Hetties Little Bitties”.
Hettie is survived by her daughter, Vicki Wyckoff and husband, Todd of Allen; sons, Chris Vaughan and wife, Angie of Farmersville, Texas and Rodney Vaughan and wife, Cindy of Lucas, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Donihoo and husband, Michael of Tom Bean, Texas, Caleb Vaughan and fiancé, Lesyle of Greenville, Texas, and Ethan Vaughan and wife, Kirsten of Greenville, Texas; great-grandchildren, Max William Donihoo and Sara Mae Donihoo of Tom Bean, Texas; and sisters, Ann McKinney and husband, Ron of Telephone, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max O. Vaughan, brother, O.C. Lokey; and sisters, Velma Corzine and Christine Corzine Douglas.
A funeral service will held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 201 E. McDermott Dr., Allen, Texas 75002. Interment will follow at Nevada Cemetery in Nevada, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Allen Texas.
