Hester Mae Phennel, age 98, of McKinney, passed away January 20, 2005, in McKinney. She was born November 22, 1906, in the Clear Lake Community, Collin County, Texas to Thomas Philip Soden and Ida Mae (Preston) Soden. She married Clarence Elmer Phennel, who is now deceased. Mrs. Phennel was a homemaker and a member of the Branch Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Clarence Elmer Phennel, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Bonnie both of Clear Lake; grandsons, Randy Lee Phennel and wife, Kat of Branch, Texas, Larry Wayne Phennel and wife, Vee of Climax, Texas; great grandchildren, Brittany, Nathan, Garrett, Ben, Larryssa and Ginger; sister-in-law, Oleta Phennel of Culleoka, who was also her first cousin, their mothers were sisters. They were double kin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 22, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake Community in Princeton.
