Hertha Wallace, age 94, of McKinney, Texas, passed away March 16, 2007, in Allen, Texas. She was born on April 14, 1912, in Herford, Westphalia, Germany to Friedrich and Frieda (Bauer) Osthus. She immigrated to the United States in 1948 and married Peter Wallace on October 29, 1948 in New York City. She was a longtime resident of Denison, Texas, moving to McKinney in 1994. Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son Erich Reins and his wife, Pat, of McKinney; granddaughters, Laura Harkey of McKinney, Leslie McCord and husband, Rick, of McKinney and Barbara Davies of Souderton, PA; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Lacey Harkey, Gwen Godfrey, Nathan and Justin Foulke; and great-great-grandson Trenton Moyer. Preceding her in death were her husband Peter in 1998; sister Erica Raabe; brothers, Erich and Fredrich Osthus; and grandson-in-law Lane Harkey. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2708 W. Virginia Parkway, McKinney, TX, with Pastor Nathan Wendorf officating.
