IN LOVING MEMORY

Henry William Gray

Aug 21 1930 - May 31 2025

Henry Willam Gray, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Frisco, Texas, on May 31, 2025.

Henry, the son of Olga (Malagoli) Gray and William Gray, was born on August 21, 1930, in New Britain, Connecticut. Henry had one older brother, Raymond, who passed away in 2017. Henry is survived by his wife, Chris Gray of Frisco, Texas, sons Tony Gray of Seattle, Washington, Nick Gray and wife, Melissa of Daphne, Alabama, daughters Debbie Burt of Allen, Texas, and Allison Arledge and husband, Shane, of Frisco, Texas.

Drafted during the Korean war after his high school graduation, Henry proudly served in the US Air Force for four years in the dental corps. After being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant, he moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where he attended and graduated from Midwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in business. Wichita Falls is also where Henry met and married his first wife, Jacquline. Henry and Jackie had two sons, Anthony and Nicholas. Jackie preceded Henry in death at the age of 42 after battling cancer.

A couple of years later, Henry met his current wife, Chris, through mutual friends. Henry and Chris married in 1990 and united their families. They are the proud grandparents of ten grandchildren: Jasper, Ruby and Odessa Gray of Seattle, Washington, Grace and Nicole Gray, of Peoria, Arizona, Kaylie Lewis and husband, Justin, and Carson Burt and wife, Daylan, of Allen, Texas, and Brandon, Ryan, and Katelyn Arledge of Frisco, Texas.

Henry, “the gum man”, worked for Wrigley’s Chewing Gum for 35 years. He retired in 1996, as a Southwestern Division Manager. After retirement, Henry loved dancing and traveling, especially going on cruises. His other favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, going out to dinner, grilling “Gramps burgers” for the grandkids, and playing basketball in the driveway. Henry was also a diehard Cowboys fan.

While Henry could have a gruff exterior, he had a heart of gold, a sharp mind and was a very generous man. His passing leaves a void in the life of many, especially his treasured family.

Service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco, TX inside the chapel, on June 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
