IN LOVING MEMORY

Henry John Bender

Jun 03 2000 - Apr 05 2017

On April 5th, 2017, the world lost a wonderful, loving, brilliant, energetic, hilarious, young man, Henry Bender.

Henry was born June 3, 2000 in Boston, Massachusetts, though he spent most of his life in McKinney, Texas. His place of birth should surprise none of his Texan friends as he often bragged that he was a native Bostonian. In his nearly seventeen years, Henry took interest in science and literature, fantasy and theology, cooking and painting. He attended Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas.

Anyone who had the joy of meeting him knew what a charming person he was. Henry was a stranger to no one.  He was a master of bizarre rhetoric and wit.

Henry particularly loved his cats, Chandler (for Matt Chandler), Carly, and Scout, who he recently convinced his mother to adopt by offering to name her after a character from To Kill a Mockingbird.

He will be dearly missed by all, but especially his mother Tracey King and father Andrew Bender, as well as his cats Scout, Chandler, and Carly, and dog, Esther.

In lieu of gifts, donations can be made to Furry Friends Animal Rescue in McKinney, Texas (http://www.furryfriendsanimalrescue.org/).
