McQueeney, Henry Francis, “Hank”, passed away Thursday, September 1st, 2016. Hank was born on May 5th, 1932 in Newton, Massachusetts to Henry and Mary (Lonergan) McQueeney. Hank won a full scholarship and played first string basketball at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Hank entered the Army in December of 1954 through the ROTC program and was called to active duty in Fort Eustis, Virginia until his honorable discharge in December of 1956. On April 27th, 1957, he married the love of his life, Patricia (Minehane) McQueeney in Belmont, Massachusetts.
Hank worked his entire career for Corning Glass Works. Hank held positions in sales, sales management, manufacturing plant management and retired as a 38 year veteran of the company. Hank was a family man, loved and appreciated by those closest to him and had many friends and family who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his son, David McQueeney and wife Lori, of Katonah, New York; daughters, Ellen Gilmore and wife Michele Vizzini of Rowlett, Texas, Lisa Dillon and husband Chris of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew McQueeney and wife Jac McQueeney , Caitlin Gilmore and husband George Cole , Russell McQueeney, Kristen Traylor and Aly Dillon; and great grandson, Oliver Cole.
Hank was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Louise McQueeney.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday September 16th at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Chapel, 2525 N. Central Expressway, in Allen, Texas.
