Helen Jeanette Calverley

Helen Jeanette (Morris) Calverley of Princeton, Texas passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 89. She was born on July 31, 1931 to George W. Morris and Cletice R. Tressie (Riley) Morris in McKinney, Texas. Helen attended Lovejoy schools. She worked at Haggar Slacks, her son Josh’s company B.W. Calverley & Company as a bookkeeper for 15 years. Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

Helen is survived by her son, Josh Calverley and wife, Derie of Van Alstyne, Texas; daughters, Lorrie Atkinson and husband, David of Princeton, Texas and Leah Chambers of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jake Obier, Christopher Obier, Heather Williams, Bradley Atkinson, Andrea Miksits, Sharee Lawler, David J. Calverley and Amy Dobbins; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ruth Welch of McKinney; brother, Frank Morris and wife, Patsy of McKinney, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cletice R. Morris; son, David Chris Calverley, husband, Bill Calverley and her brother, Otis Morris and his wife, Edna Fay.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Ridgeview Memorial Park Pavilion, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, the following are Ridgeview Memorial Parks guidelines. All are invited to attend the Graveside Service, maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
