Helen Jean (Bangs) Adams of Plano, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2020 at the age of 84. She was born on July 1, 1935, to Marvin Olin Bangs and Vina Francis (Renfro) Bangs in Trenton, Texas. Helen grew up in Trenton and later moved to Dallas, Texas. She spent several years with Dallas Transit, now known as DART, and most of her career as a receptionist and bookkeeper for obstetricians. Helen was known affectionately as the designated baby-holder. She loved holding babies when mothers came in for follow up visits. She was a devoted Christian, loved antiques and collected frogs. She enjoyed spending time on the beach and in the mountains.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Cindy Ingram of Plano, Texas; brothers, Charles Bangs and Kenneth Bangs; sister-in-law, Carol Bangs and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Vina Bangs; husband, Bobby Lee Adams; sisters, Vernell Threadgill, Virginia Cadmus, and Shirley Ann Bangs.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, 4600 North Belt Line Road, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
