Helen Lurline Sopko, age 84, of McKinney, Texas passed away May 12, 2007, in McKinney. She was born on June 1, 1922, in Columbia, Missouri, to Walter and Eva (Neal) Dennis. On April 25, 1940, she married Adalbert Sopko in Flint, Michigan. Mrs. Sopko was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Linda Ludwick and her husband Steven of Lucas, TX, Beth Olszewski and her husband Tom of Walhalla, MI, Steve Sopko and his wife Leslie of Brighton, MI and Tom Sopko and his wife Fran of Grossfile, MI; daughter-in-law, Carol Sopko of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Kevin, Mark and Sean Kirkwood, Sarah, Scott, Kyle, Erica, Bryce, Brennon, and Collin Sopko, and Tracy and Melissa Simmons; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jimmy and Sean Kirkwood. Preceding her in death were her husband, Adalbert; and her son Neal Sopko. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 17, 2007, at 1:30 PM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 301 Country Club Road, Fairview, Texas, with Rev. Robert H. Vogel officiating.
