Helen Sue Burk was born May 20, 1931 at Westminster, Texas to Douglas Ingram and Mary Powell Ingram. She attended school at Westminster and was part owner of the Anna Insurance Agency for many years. She loved flower gardening and playing the piano and organ. She was a devoted member of the church of Christ. She married Robert J. Burk on November 29, 1946, West of Van Alstyne, Texas. She died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the age of 79 at her residence in Whitewright, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert J. Burk of Whitewright; son, Raford Burk and wife Sherry of Whitewright; grandson, John Burk and wife Donna of Mt. Pleasant; grandson, Stephen Burk and wife Robin of Hurst; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Zane, Michael, Hannah and Cade; brother, Jesse Ingram of Sherman; sister, Lydia Bryant of Garland; and several nieces and nephew and many loved ones and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Douglas and Mary Ingram; and brother, Jerry Ingram. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Mr. Doug Bickenbach. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Westminster, Texas. Pallbearers were Jesse Wayne Ingram, Johnny Ingram, Jeff Ingram, Gerald Burk, Tim Chapman and good friend Eric Donihoo. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Whitewright, Texas.
