Helen Atchley, age 72, of McKinney, Texas, passed away March 17, 2007 at her home. She was born on April 14, 1934, in Moody, Texas, to Archie and Orpha Lee (Hill) Guyer. She married James Morgan Atchley in Moody, Texas, on August 13, 1954. She was a member of High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, member of the Stonebridge Country Club, and past president of the Ladies Golf Association. She was an avid golfer who loved playing bridge and traveling. Mrs. Atchley was a vice president for Murry Mortgage Company for several years. She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Jim; sons Rick and his wife Jamie of Keller, TX, and Mark and his wife Debbie of Grapevine, TX; six grandchildren; and brother Archie Lee Guyer and his wife Betty of Salado, TX. Preceding her in death were her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, with her son, Rick Atchley, minister of Richland Hills Church of Christ, officiating. A private graveside service will follow. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
