Harvey Dean Poplin, age 69, of Blue Ridge, Texas, passed away on July 7, 2017 in Blue Ridge, Texas.  He was born July 3, 1948 in Redding, California to Alford and Claudine Poplin.  He was a contractor and owned his own business.  He loved sports, especially the Cowboys and The Rangers.  He liked to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchild whom he loved so much.

Harvey is survived by; wife, Linda Poplin, sons, Wesley Poplin and Chad Poplin and wife Tricia, mother, Claudine Poplin, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers. 

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas. 

Funeral service will be Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Valdasta Baptist Church in Valdasta, Texas.  Rev. Jim Jake Templin will officiate.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas.
