Harold Wayne Inge, 93, passed away August 5, 2026, in McKinney, Texas.  He was born in McKinney, Texas, on September 4, 1932, to his loving parents Horace Pinkney Inge and Nova Beatrice (Renfro) Inge.

Harold grew up in McKinney, Texas, where he attended elementary and high school. He proudly served in the United States Army.   

Following his military service, Harold began a career with the United States Postal Service, where he faithfully served his community for many years as a letter carrier. Along the way, he met the love of his life, Jimmie Elaine Chadwick, and on October 20, 1956, they were united in marriage in McKinney, Texas. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with two children, whose lives brought them immeasurable joy and countless cherished memories throughout the years.

Harold is survived by his wife, Jimmie Inge of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Debbie Heintz of Fairview, Texas; daughter-in-law, Therese Inge of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Tommy Melton, Jr. and wife, Shawna of McKinney, Texas, Michael Inge and wife, Amanda of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Brandon Melton and wife, Cristina of McKinney, Texas, and Ashley Morris and husband, Barrett of Prosper, Texas; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Charles Inge of McKinney, Texas, Wanda Janelle Nolan of Louisiana, Patsy Morris and husband, Frank of McKinney, Texas, Jerry Inge and wife, Sandra, also of McKinney, Texas, Rosa Morrison and husband, Gary of Celina, Texas, and Paul Inge and wife Sharon of Leonard, Texas; and family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their heart.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Nova Inge, son, Curtis Inge, son-in-law, Tony Heintz, and brothers, James Inge, Bob Inge, "Hoss" Inge, and David Inge. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: celebrationoflife.tv/blog/harold-inge . After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the funeral, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.  

The family will receive guests during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the funeral home.
