Harold “Scooter” Blackmon, age 53, of Plano, Texas, passed away on July 13, 2009. He was born on October 24, 1955 to Boyce and Naomi (Lazarine) Blackmon in Perryton, Texas. On December 3, 1983 he married Kelly Clanton in Dallas, Texas. Harold was a loving husband and daddy who loved his family and many friends. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing guitar and listening to his rock n’ roll music. He was blessed with four more years in June of 2005 after being given the gift of life via an organ transplant. As a result, Harold became a faithful advocate of organ donation and encouraged all he knew to grant another person the same gift he received. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Harold is survived by his wife, Kelly Blackmon; daugters, Jayme and Lacey Blackmon; sisters, Marisa Blackmon and Genea Maines; brother, Dewey Blackmon and several other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Woodcreek Church, 3400 Renner Rd., Richardson, Texas. A memorial ride will begin at 1:00 p.m., August 1, 2009 at the Harley Davidson Store in Allen, Texas and proceed to the Woodcreek Church in Richardson, Texas.
