Hanse Mason Hamilton, Jr.

Hanse Mason Hamilton, Jr. of Dallas, Texas passed away on February 28, 2019 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 93.  He was born on October 9, 1925 to Hanse and Gladys (Brown) Hamilton in Waco, Texas.  Hanse proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was wounded on Iwo Jima for which he was awarded the Purple Heart.  On February 24, 1946, he married Juanita Elam in Dallas, Texas.  He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and earned bachelor’s degree in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant.  He worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 33 years until his retirement.  Hanse was an active member of the Collin County Marine Corps League.

Hanse is survived by his sons Dr. Paul Hamilton of McKinney, Texas and Jerry H. Hamilton and wife, Radonna of North Richland Hills, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Hamilton and wife, Rachel of Abilene, Texas, Hailey Bain of Dallas, Texas, Eli Johnson of McKinney, Texas, Adam Hamilton of Hawaii, Blake Hamilton of Denton, Texas, Vicki Hamilton of Arlington, Texas, Brad Hamilton of East Tawakoni, Texas; great-grandchildren, Beau Hamilton, Mason Hamilton, Luke Bain, Jack Bain, Everly Hamilton, Chloe Jeffries, and Anime Hamilton; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hanse and Gladys Hamilton; wife, Juanita Hamilton; and grandson, Brian Hamilton.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening, March 10, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2019 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.  A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
