Hal “Marc” Taylor of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 28, 2021 at the age of 63. He was born on September 8, 1957 to Dr. Robert L. Taylor, Jr. and Elsie Jean (Terry) Taylor in Jackson, Mississippi. Marc grew up in Jackson, Mississippi where he graduated from Jackson Preparatory High School in 1975. He attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and Mississippi State University. Marc worked for Ergon and started his own company, Marco Energy. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and cooking.

Marc is survived by his brothers, Bob Taylor of Gunter, Texas and Tony Taylor and wife, Laura of Fairview, Texas; sister, Teri Goettsche of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews, John Taylor, Ellen Taylor and her son, Noah Wagner, Katherine Taylor and Christina Taylor; goddaughter, Tasha Mayfield and husband, Tucker of Frisco, Texas; god grandchildren, Payton Mayfield, Pryce Mayfield and Pruitt Mayfield; cousin, Rod Taylor and wife, Susan and Wanda Taylor, both of Atlanta, Georgia; uncle, Joe Taylor of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and a host of other loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Suzy Taylor; niece, Julianne Taylor; mother, Elsie Jean Taylor; and his cousin, Marva Carol Kent.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Marc’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/hal-marc-taylor. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of 100 guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Marc and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
