H.B. Thompson, Jr., age 85, of Dallas, Texas passed peacefully away May 12, 2012. He was born October 21, 1926 in Altoga, Texas to Herbert Bob Thompson and Brenda Lee (Porter) Thompson. H.B. was raised in McKinney, Texas. He married Jo F. Wallis in April 1942 in McKinney, Texas and on November 14, 1971, he married Doris Ann Graves in Plano, Texas. H.B. proudly served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was a master mason. H.B. worked for Parkland Hospital, Collin Memorial Hospital and Plano Medical Clinic as a registered x-ray and medical technologist. H.B. was a member of First Christian Church in Plano.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Stone and husband, Dr. Stuart Stone of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Harrison Clark Thompson of Plano, Texas; daughter-in-law, Ivy Thompson of Plano, Texas; step-sons, Jim Ingram of Dallas, Texas and John Ingram of Santa Fe, New Mexico; step-grandchildren, Denton Bricker and Jamie Bricker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Frida Thompson; wife, Doris Ann Thompson and his son, HB Thompson, III “Butch”.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Pete Moon, Dick Rogers and Dr. Tom Eller.
