Gwendolyn Virginia Haupt passed away February 23, 2024 in Denton, Texas at the age of 75. She was born in Denver, Colorado on July 22, 1948.
Gwen graduated from Manual High School in 1966. She was of the Christian faith. Gwen was a hard-working woman, full of love for her family, neighbors, and for God. With a pile of extra bibles in her car, she spread the word of the Lord to those sent to her and extended her loving arms out to anyone who needed it. Anywhere she could, she would dance to every tune and sing with the most beautiful voice. Always saying, “I hope Jesus takes me away when I lose the ability to dance.” There wasn’t a home project that she couldn’t accomplish and there wasn’t a meal she couldn’t cook to perfection. With every phone call, she had a new song to sing, and with every visit she had a million hugs to give. Gwen was a compassionate soul, full of life and blessings. She cared deeply for everyone in her life, and she had the power to put a smile on people’s faces. Leviticus 19:18 reads, “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself,” and Gwen always did. She was happiest when she was with her family and her eyes sparkled with love.
