Gregory Philip Hill of Plano, Texas passed away February 18, 2022 at the age of 25. He was born on June 5, 1996 to Aaron Alfred Hill and Colleen Frances Hill (Cassidy) in Ontario, Canada where he lived until his family moved to England, and then finally to Texas when Greg was 4 years of age. Greg grew up in Plano and was a graduate of Plano Senior High School. He then attended Collin College to further his education. From there, Greg joined the work force, helping and attending to animals and their needs. He shared a strong connection with all animals, especially cats, which held a special place in his heart. His love for animals even went as far as rescuing Ozzy, a cat left behind at his workplace . A passionate musician, Greg slayed the drums as his main instrument, but was also extremely talented at playing guitar and leading vocals. One of his favorite pastimes was jamming with his brother to their favorite metal songs. He also loved spending time listening to music, talking, and watching movies with his girlfriend, Ashley Mitchell. Greg will be remembered for his smiling (often smirking) face, his witty “Greg-isms”, and humorous charm. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving parents, Aaron and Colleen Hill; sister, Leanne Hill and fiancé, Clayton Hatten; brother, Chris Hill and fiancée , Angel Hu.
Aunts and uncles, Kevin and Cindy Cassidy, Bev and Mike Moffatt, Marilyn and Bill Browne, Maureen Gorloff, Wesley Hill, Karrie Crowell, grandmother, Sandra Calder; step grandmother, Joan Cassidy, and his Canadian cousins, along with many other loving family and friends.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Val and Jack Cassidy; aunts and uncles, Jim Gorloff, Ann Marie and Lucien St. Martin, and Kellie Znotka.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive family and friends during a remembrance gathering on Thursday evening, March 10th at 6pm-8pm, at the funeral home.
