IN LOVING MEMORY

Graham Darling

May 26 1936 - Oct 12 2019

Graham was born on May 26, 1936 in New London Connecticut. He was an only child that was raised by his beloved mother, Helen Cox Darling on the shores of the Mystic River. Graham served his country proudly in the United States Navy and later graduated from the University of Connecticut thanks to the GI Bill. He had a successful career in human resources at Standard Oil of Ohio, SOHIO, which later became BP Oil. Graham raised two amazing sons, Pete and Andy, whom he was extremely proud. Graham made his home in Cleveland, Ohio for over 40 years.

After retiring, he split his time between Florida and Ohio where he met his wife, Joyce. The two spent 20 happy years together. They enjoyed traveling and were blessed with many dear friends. They recently made their home in Texas; a move that Graham unselfishly insisted on, so Joyce could be near her family.

He enjoyed golf, was a passionate Connecticut Huskies Women’s Basketball fan, and had a great love for theatre. From starring in the production of Oklahoma in college to his recent days with the Heritage Ranch Theatre, the stage was a natural fit for Graham. In his later years, he also loved his REAL role as grandfather to David, Bradley, Jacob and Joyce’s grandchildren, Tori, Taylor, Tyler and Trey.

Graham will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to call him family or friend.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.

The family would like to honor Graham’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Heritage Ranch Theatre Guild, Attention:  Eric Hoyle, Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club, 465 Scenic Ranch Circle, Fairview, TX 75069.
