Ms. Gracie Ferrell Spurgin, age 52, of Bonham, Texas passed away February 20, 2006, at her home. She was born July 1, 1953, in Monroe, Louisiana to Fletcher and Edna (Williams) Ferrell. Ms. Spurgin was a member of the Eldorado Country Club and Stonebridge Country Club in McKinney and Legacy Ridge Country Club in Bonham, where she was an active member of the Women’s Golf Associations. She is survived by her son, Tim Butler and wife, Alecia of Leonard, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Clay, Cody and Tucker Butler also of Leonard; mother, Edna Williams Ferrell of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brothers, Harvey Ferrell of Little Rock, Arkansas, Harry Ferrell of Coushatta, Louisiana, Hurley Ferrell of Spartenburg, South Carolina, Herman Ferrell of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Wiley Ferrell of Grand Bay, Alabama, Jabe Ferrell of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Bernard Ferrell of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Allen Ferrell of Johnsonville, Arkansas and Monroe Ferrell of Panama City, Florida; sisters, Betty Smith of Angola, Louisiana, Jimmie Lou Ellerbe of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Mary Kees of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Beatrice Davis of Poquoson, Virginia; and numerous other loving relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Fletcher Monroe Ferrell and daughter, Tiffany April Butler. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. A night of remembrance will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
