Glorianna June (Blizniak) Sherwood, age 76, of Providence Village, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born in Summers, Connecticut, to Florence (Bedford) and Joseph Edward Blizniak on December 30, 1945. Gloria had a successful career as a hair beautician. She married Charles Sherwood on October 26, 1987, in Manchester, CT. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren. She loved her collectibles and watching action-packed movies. Gloria was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Gloria is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Sherwood, her children and their families: son, Mike Shick and his children, Christopher, Michael, Matthew, and Michaela; daughter, Debbie Simko and her children, Ryan and Alessa-Rae; daughter, Patty Cavo and her children, Kaleigh, Sophia, and Natalia; daughter, Pandalie Blizniak and her children, Krystal, Hannah, Jayson, and Mikala; son, Steven Shick and his son, Nathan; and great-grandson, Eli.
Also survived by her step-daughters, Christine Matuszko and her children, RJ and Tyler; Cheryl Sherwood; Grace Call and her children, Jennifer and Melanie; Catherine Wirta and her children, Julia and Jacob; step-son, Charles Sherwood; and great-grandchildren, Xavier, Zeah-Devon, and Kaháre.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Joseph Blizniak.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, Texas, on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
