Gloria Marjorie Dry

Gloria Marjorie Dry, age 80 went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 5, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York to Charles and Edna (Norton) Soumaian. She married Archibald R. Dry in 1948 in Long Beach, New York and became a Texas resident in 1979. She was a devoted wife and mother, as well as a breast cancer survivor. She became a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in 1988 and was a contributing supporter of many charities including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Mrs. Dry’s name. Survivors: daughter, Karen Kellaway of The Colony, Texas; two sons, Craig Dry of Jacksonville, Florida and Charles Dry of Fort Worth, Texas; brother Charles Soumaian of Copaigue, New York; sister, Audrey Hurley of Orange Park, Florida; eleven grandchildren, Rachel, Lindsey, Matthew, Brittany, Ryan, Tricia, Ronnie, Sean, Paula, Stephanie and Daniel; ten great grandchildren and her extended family of many lifelong devoted friends, for which her family will forever be grateful for their love and support. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas with Pastor Steve Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2005.
