Glenn Allen Griffith of Celeste, TX passed away on December 8, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born March 1, 1951, to Roger Neal Griffith and Lillie Mae (Sanford) Griffith in Jackson, Mississippi.
Glenn married his loving wife, Bobbie Nell Wilcox, on May 20, 2000 in Celeste Texas. Together they shared 22 of their best years together.
Glenn was a devoted member of the White Rock Baptist Church. He loved singing and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and friends. His most precious time that put the biggest smile on his face was when he was with his grandchildren.
Glenn will be missed by his wife, Bobbie Nell Griffith; his children, Janie Lunday and husband, Robert, of Celeste, Texas, Jo Ann Solano and husband, Tony, of McKinney, Texas, Dana Wagar and husband, Billy, of Celeste, Texas, Glenn Allen Griffith, Jr. and wife, Elishia, of Wynona, OK, and Angel Griffith of Longview, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Ann Worley of Metairie, Louisiana, Gerri Bouchillon and husband, Lawrence, of McCool, Mississippi, Roger Griffith and wife, Laura, of Ackerman, Mississippi, Ruby Mitchell and husband, Jon, of Greenville, Texas, Ray Griffith of Texas, John Griffith and wife, Sheila, of Lone Oak, Texas, and Gwen Love of Magee, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents, Roger and Lillie Mae Griffith; daughter, Sandy Barnett; and siblings, Mary Ethel Freshour, Willie Jo Clark, Kay Griffith, and Linda Griffith.
A funeral service officiated by Roger Griffith will be held at 2PM, Monday, December 12, 2022, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 701 North Cedar Street, Leonard, Texas 75452. The family will welcome guests at a visitation from 2-4PM, Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the funeral home. Following the services, there will be a procession to Hogeye Cemetery in Celeste.
Pallbearers for Glenn’s service will be his brother John Griffith, his son-in-laws, Robert Lunday, Billy Wagar, Tony Solano, and his grandson Rickey Lewis, along with his dear friend, Adam Dyess.
