Glenn Alexander Fogg. 76, passed away on May 30, 2026, surrounded by his children after a long battle with lung cancer.
Glenn was born on October 15, 1949, in Louisburg, NC to the late Christanna Fogg-Harrison and Perry Alexander Alston. He was raised by his grandparents Magnolia and Robert Lee Spencer; he was their pride and joy.
From an early age he had a deep love of baseball. Known for his quick feet, he often joked his speed came from being chased by dogs while playing outside. It was those same "quick feet" that earned him the nickname "Deer". This later becoming one of the many cherished stories Glenn passed down to his grandchildren.
Glenn often traveled to New York City to visit his mother, siblings and other family members. There he was able to reunite with his love for baseball, joining 'The Allstars' and later 'The Brooklyn Tigers'. The team became a family to him - a bond that would last a lifetime. His love and dedication to the game landed him a tryout with the MLB.
In 1975, he met the love of his life, Audrey Geraldine Mays. The two were inseparable and were united in marriage on June 20, 198l. Joining two families that would blend so well they became more than just in laws. They relocated from Brooklyn to Texas in 1988, joining his brother-in-law, Lester Mays. It was here they truly made a life together. Glenn built a distinguished career as a computer programmer at JC Penny before retiring and embarking on an adventure as a truck operator - one of his life passions. They were then blessed with a church home and became members of Friendship Baptist Church in The Colony. TX.
On February 13, 2000, Audrey was called home. He loved and cared for her until her last day. Through the pain he was still able to be a guiding light as he raised his children. Above all, Glenn was a devoted father, not only to his children but to his niece Jimmica, taking her in and raising her as one of his own. A passionate grandfather, extending fatherhood to his first grand and best friend, Tayveon. His warmth, love and presence will be felt by all who knew him and for generations to come.
