Glenda LaRoche Stickney of Fairview, Texas passed away August 5, 2022 at the age of 73. She was born on August 30, 1948 to Elmer Earl LaRoche and Margaret Elizabeth (Ware) LaRoche at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Glenda grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and was a 1966 graduate of Grand Prairie High School. Glenda studied at the University of Texas in Arlington. She then started her own company, Aero-Glen, Inc. Glenda later married Philip Stickney on May 7, 1999 in Plano, Texas. Glenda continued as owner and operator of Aero-Glen, Inc. until 2009 when she sold to start enjoying her retirement. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and especially spending summers at the family cabin in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. Glenda was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and most recently First United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. She was also an active member of the Heritage Ranch Community, enjoying many activities such as the block parties. Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Glenda is survived by her husband of 23 years, Philip Stickney; daughter, Michelle Thomason Ricks and husband, Blake; grandchildren, Morgan Ricks and Collin Ricks; sisters-in-law, Betty LaRoche and Jeanne Stickney; brothers-in-law, Robert Stickney, James Stickney, and Thomas Stickney; niece and nephews, Todd, Sean, and Lisa LaRoche; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Margaret LaRoche; brother, Alfred Lee LaRoche; and sister, Gloria LaRoche.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
