Glen E. Powell, Sr., age 69, of Whitewright, Texas passed away May 14, 2010. He was born July 18, 1940, in Alamo, Arkansas, to Gilford and Susie (Norman) Powell. He married Marcia Richard Steelman on July 3, 1972, in Rockwall, Texas. Glen retired from Rockwell International after thirty two years of service. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge of Richardson. After retirement Glen with his family founded and operated PCI Construction. Glen is survived by his wife, Marcia; children, Shelly Powell Wilson and husband Jack of McKinney, Texas, Robin Ipsen of Springfield, Missouri, Glen E. Powell, Jr. and wife Ronda of Nixa, Missouri, Tricia Judd of Fort Worth, Texas, Jason Powell and his wife Mandi of Whitewright, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi, Derek, Justin, Brittney, Glen III, Austin, Ethan, Ryder, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Colton and Aiden; brothers, Hubert Powell of Allen, Texas, and Cleo Powell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Etna Housley. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2010 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, at 4:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, in Allen, Texas.
