On October 5th, 2011 Gina Elaine Mangum went to be with her Savior after a long battle with breast cancer. Born Gina Elaine Bridges on August 12, 1966 to the loving union of George W. Bridges (deceased) and Elaine N. Bridges at St. Johns Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. As the baby sister of George Kevin Bridges and Kerry Leon Bridges, Gina felt loved and protected by her older brothers. As a child Gina served in the choir and other youth activities at Rush Temple AME Zion Church in Jamaica, NY. After graduating from High School in NYC, Gina became an LPN and worked as an EMT in New York City. She received her RN license from Helen Fuld Nursing School. She then received her B.A. Degree in Business from Manhattan College. Gina was the Occupational Region Manager for United Parcel Service for 10 years. Gina enjoyed being a Physical Fitness instructor in various Fitness facilities in the NYC area. She loved to promote a healthy lifestyle. In 2002, Gina met the love of her earthly life and in February 2004 she married Tommy Mangum. They attended Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY. In May of 2004 they relocated to Frisco Texas to make a home for their daughter Gianna Nicole Mangum. The family attended Elevate Life Church in Frisco, TX where Gina served in the choir, Children’s Church (Power Plant) and Master’s Blend Coffee Bar.
