Gilbert Joseph Bethke

Gilbert “Gil” Joseph Bethke of Plano, Texas passed away December 7, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born January 11, 1935 to William Bethke and Antonia Domyen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Gil grew up in Mukwonago, Wisconsin where he attened schools. He proudly served in the United States Army where he was a tank driver in Germany. Gil married Kathleen Newman on February 6, 1960 in Big Bend, Wisconsin. He worked as a journeyman carpenter until he moved to Texas where he was an HVAC installation specialist and later a telecommunications installation specialist.

Gil is survived by his children, Kevin Bethke and wife, Joyce of Plano, Texas, Kurt Bethke and wife, Amanda of Lewisville, Texas and Corinna Bethke of Colorado; grandchildren, Chelsea Kaminsky and Madison Baggett; great-granddaughter, Kenzington Kaminsky; brother, Kenny Bethke of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sister, Kathy Bartholemew of Waukesea, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; grandson, Tennyson Baggett and brother, Alan Bethke.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A graveside entombment service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at Ridgeview Garden Mausoleum, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
