Geraldine Francis Skinner of Plano, Texas passed away on July 9, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born on October 6, 1940 to Arthur Goss and Pearl (Campbell) Goss in Seminole, Oklahoma. Geri grew up in Oklahoma where she graduated from Pryor High School in 1958. She married Eugene Skinner on February 7, 1959 in Miami, Oklahoma. Geri worked as an administrator for Camilla Care Center in Aurora, Colorado for six years and as a nurse at Pryor Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a caretaker for her family and was able to make a connection with people. Geri loved gardening, playing slot machines and was an avid bowler and huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
Geri is survived by her daughter, Paula Beatty of Austin, Texas; son, Michael Skinner and wife, Pat of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Nicole Gonzales and husband Victor, Dustin South, Jared South and wife, Lindsee, Larry Epstein and wife Cara, and Preston Skinner; great-grandchildren Issac Moreno, Diamonique Moreno, Veronika Moreno and Jonah Pena; several nieces and nephews; and a host other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Eugene Skinner; parents, Arthur and Pearl Goss; brothers, Gene Goss, Bobby Goss, and Ronnie Goss; and sister, Maxine Peters.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive during a visitation on Friday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
