Geraldine Catherine Jackson, age 69, of Fairview, Texas passed away April 20, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. She was born November 12, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Laura Roman Hajduk. Ms. Jackson was the first female salesperson for Motorola in the Chicago area. She moved to Texas in 2001, where she became active in the Heritage Ranch Community in Fairview. She attended Creekwood United Methodist Church in Allen. She is survived by her children, Kathryn L. Schaeffer and husband, Gary Roll of Chicago, Laura S. Gillespie and husband, David of Plano, Texas, Peggy Pittas and husband, Greg and Michael R. Clotfelter all of Ocala, Florida; 8 grandchildren; brother, Daniel Hajduk and wife, Nancy of Mt. Prospect, Illinois; and numerous other loving relatives and many friends. Her parents and sister, Betty Cheronis preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Mary Beth Hardesty-Crouch officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Creekwood United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Samaritan Inn of McKinney.
