Gerald Ray Baxter of Richardson, Texas passed away August 8, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born on September 28, 1942 to Woodrow Baxter and Mary Ruth (Young) Baxter in Vernon, Texas. Gerald was a graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, Texas and he attended East Texas State University now known as Texas A&M University. Gerald married Cheryl Childress on September 30, 1966 in Greenville. He was owner and operator of a Medical Services Contracting and Supply Inc. Gerald was a member of Church of Christ.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cheryl Baxter of Richardson, Texas; son, Shane Baxter and wife, Christy of Richardson, Texas; daughters, Melissa Faraci and husband, Ron of Rockwall, Texas and Michelle Roman of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney Baxter, Kelly Baxter, Trevor Baxter, Nathan Faraci, Lilly Faraci, Armando Roman and Emilio Roman; sister, Maxine Burton of Greenville, Texas; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Woody and Mary Baxter; sister, Carolyn Baxter
A private graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing .
