Gerald "G.F." Bailey

August 13, 1931 - October 22, 2017

Gerald Frank “G.F.”  Bailey of Garland, Texas passed away on October 22, 2017 at the age of 86.  He was born on August 13, 1931 to Luther Clair and Dora (Mitchell) Bailey in McKinney, TX.  Gerald married Claura Olene Estep on June 20, 1950 in McKinney, Texas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Gerald retired from Ford Motor Company.  He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Fate, Texas.

Gerald is survived by his son, James “Jay” Bailey of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Johnnie Mae Bailey of Leonard, Texas and Jay Lynn Bailey of Dallas, Texas; brother, Butch Bailey of Louisiana; sisters, Katy Wiser of Lowry Crossing, Texas, Bobbie Beardslee of Florida and Wanda Frasier also of Lowry Crossing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claura O. Bailey; his parents, Luther and Dora Bailey; his grandson, Jayson Bailey; and his brothers, Wayne and Freddie; and his sister, Cookie. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
