Gerald Franklin Meazell, age 62, of Celina, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 16, 2023. Gerald was born July 2, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Smith Andrew and Melva Gean (Cowan) Meazell. Gerald grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from W. T. White High School. He later graduated from DeVry Technical Institute. He married Katina Elizabeth Ruisch on August 22, 1992 in Dallas. Gerald and Katina were Frisco residents for over 20 years and were members of Waters Edge Lutheran Church in Frisco. Gerald was passionate about his political service and volunteered as Precinct Chair for the Denton County Republican Party as well as the Collin County Republican Party.
He is survived by his wife Katina Meazell of Celina, Texas; daughters Shayla Meazell of Springfield, Missouri and Tara Meazell of Celina; siblings Kenny Meazell of Dallas, Deborah Cervantez and husband Freddy of Austin, Malena Meazell, also of Dallas, and John Meazell and wife Carol of Plano; aunt Jackie Cowan Rocha of Allen; aunt Georgeanne Fletcher and husband James of Round Rock; nieces and nephews Monique Morales, Jackson Meazell, Macy Meazell, Avery Meazell, Ian Cervantez, Savannah Cervantez, Brianna Cervantez, Baret Meazell, and Dax Meazell; and numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Dr., Frisco, Texas, 75033.
