George Weldon Pearson, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2020 at his home in McKinney, Texas. He was born September 17, 1929 in Omaha, Texas to the parentage of Major and Ansolonia (Tarver) Pearson. He wed Ruby Lynn Franklin; to this union four children were born. George was a tractor operator for many years. He was highly regarded in his profession by his peers and his employers.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby L. Pearson; parents, Major and Ansolonia Pearson; brothers, James, Howard, Pete, Billy and sister, Hattie.
He is survived by his four children, George, Jr., Vivin, Ruby and Beverly; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at The McKinney First Baptist Church, 401 West Irwin Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. Interment to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
