George Francis Yellak

George Francis Yellak of Van Alstyne, Texas passed away January 28, 2019 at the age of 75.  He was born on March 14, 1943 to George and Sophie (Bronikowski) Yellak in Brooklyn, New York.  George was raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School where he played on the state championship basketball team.  He worked for IBM as a customer engineer at the age of 19.  George served his country in the United States Army from 1964-1966 at the missile sight in Duncanville, Texas.  He returned to IBM for ten years before founding his own company, Computer Software Services.  George served as president of the company until 2010.  He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed fishing, camping with his kids, photography and skiing.

George is survived by his wife, Carol Yellak; children, George Christopher Yellak of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Timothy Yellak of McKinney, Texas; Teresa Ann Braddock of McKinney, Texas, and Mary Katherine Weeks of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Hannah Yellak, Samantha Weeks, Haley Leshowitz, Ethan Yellak, Nicholas Leshowitz, Sophia Weeks, Polly Yellak, and Aaron Yellak; great grandchild, Oliver McGuire; brother, Gene Vincent Yellak of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sophie Yellak.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Interment will immediately follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
