IN LOVING MEMORY

George Wendell Fink

Jun 23 1945 - Jun 25 2022

George Wendell Fink of Carrollton, Texas, passed away at age 77 on June 25, 2022 after a battle with Lewy body dementia. He was born on June 23, 1945 in Fredericktown, Ohio to parents H. Wendell Fink and Marjorie E. Bollinger. George was a graduate of Fredericktown High School and attended The Ohio State University and DeVry.

George began his professional sales career in 1975 as a sales engineer for Extel Corporation in Northbrook, Illinois. After four years at Extel, he worked at ITT Microsystems as regional sales manager for two years. He then joined Matthews & Associates as a manufacturers sales representative where he spent the rest of his career.

George met the love of his life, Vicki, while working at Extel in Chicago. They were married on November 18, 1978. In 1982, they moved to Texas together where they raised two children, Charles and Jennifer. The family enjoyed playing golf and taking vacations together, especially to Colorado.

George loved working on electrical and mechanical projects around the house. He was a problem solver, and armed with some wood, wire, and random parts he collected in the garage, he could build or fix just about anything. George also enjoyed HAM radios, model trains, photography, and traveling to national parks and old military sites that used to be top secret.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Mullin. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Fink, and his two children, Charles Fink of Vancouver, Washington and Jennifer Fink of Carrollton, Texas.

The family gives its deepest thanks and appreciation for the overwhelming love and support shown by so many people throughout the past couple years. A memorial service to celebrate George’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on George's obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/george-wendell-fink.  After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
