George Martin, Jr., a resident of Dallas, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on November 9, 1949, to George and Eula Mae (Rhone) Martin in Bessemer, Alabama.
George dedicated his life to his passion for engineering, leaving an indelible mark on the field. His commitment to his work was evident in every project he undertook, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike.
Beyond his professional endeavors, George was a cherished friend and family member. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering support endeared him to all who knew him. He possessed a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him and to find beauty in the world.
George's legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his gentle spirit, his steadfast presence, and the countless lives he touched throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his brothers, Tony Martin, Clyde Martin, Reggie Martin, and Alvin Martin; sisters, Denise Cook and Georgia Lee Jackson; nephew, Jason White; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
