Mr. George E. Coffman, age 88, of Dallas, Texas passed away April 13, 2007. He was born July 9, 1918, in McKinney, Texas to W. H. and Ary (Meador) Coffman. Mr. Coffman proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. For many years, he worked in the family business, Coffman Florist, in McKinney and later worked for Greenleaf Wholesale Florist and American Wholesale Florist. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Coffman of Dallas, Texas; step-children, Michael Rawlings of Dallas, Texas, Oscar Rawlings of Dallas, Texas, Dennis Rawlings of Dallas, Texas and Judy Spears of House, Mississippi; brothers, Billy Howard Coffman and Frank Coffman both of McKinney, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arnette Coffman and his parents, W. H. and Ary (Meador) Coffman. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
