Geneva Merle Cashon, age 94, of Prosper, Texas, passed away on February 9, 2009. She was born on December 15, 1914, in Gatesville, Texas to E.W. and Maggie (Rutherford) Pollard. On August 13, 1932, she married Glenn Cashon in McKinney, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1966. Geneva grew up in McKinney where she graduated from High School. She worked for Haggar Clothing Company over 35 years as a seamstress. She was a member of the Rhea’s Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Duane Cashon and wife Nancy of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Glenn Duane Cashon, II of Allen, Texas, and Laura Lynn Johnson of Prosper, Texas; great grandchildren, Lacey Osterman, Morgan Cashon and Cole Cashon; sisters, Edaline Sanders of Meridian, Texas and Joann Pollard of Farmers Branch, Texas; brother, Jim Pollard of San Diego, California and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Hathcoat and Phil Hamblin, officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, to pay their respects and sign the register book.
