Everard Eugene Morse 66, passed away on May 1, 2017 in Van Alstyne, Texas. Gene was born on August 2, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Everard Aud and Ruby Rose “Bryant” Morse. He worked most of his life as a Licensed Professional Plumber in the Residential and Commercial industry.
Gene never met a stranger. He loved to talk to absolutely anyone who would listen. Those who had the pleasure of meeting him would instantly become a lifelong friend. He adored all 5 of his grandkids and bragged about them every chance he could. He enjoyed hunting with his son-in-law and grandsons, watching Nascar races live or on television, and just spending time with his family.
His quick-witted humor could make anyone laugh…regardless of how off the topic it was. He is already greatly missed. May he and his son, Zane Morse, rekindle their father-son relationship while together again in Heaven.
Gene is survived by his daughters, Daphne Cooley of McKinney, Texas, Natalie Goetz and husband Jon of Gunter, Texas; Son-in-law Jason Gonzalez of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Bailey and Reese Cooley, Garrin Goetz, Weston Goetz and Landyn Goetz; sisters, Joan Deckard of Wylie, Texas, Bonnie Daniels of Princeton, Texas, Beverly Elsik and husband Bitsy of Edinburg, Texas and Ramona Crutchfield of Pharr, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Gene is preceded in death by his son, Zane Morse, and parents, Everard and Ruby Morse.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on May 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Gunter Chapel, 300 Pecan Street, Gunter, Texas 75058.
