Gaynell Ann (Stark) Fox, age 84, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was born on July 31, 1938, to Georgia Saye (Jordan) and Robert T. “Shorty” Stark in Little Elm, Texas. Gaynell Stark graduated from Frisco High School in the Class of 1956. That summer on June 30, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Bobby Carroll Fox Sr. They raised their family in Frisco for many years and in later years moved to Weston, Texas, to enjoy retirement. Gaynell and Bobby were married for 52 years until Bob’s passing in 2008 and they were active members at the Weston Baptist Church.
Gaynell had a long career in the electronics industry at Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas, and retired after 37 years. A spectacular homemaker, Gaynell enjoyed cooking and gardening, crocheting, and she was extremely accomplished at quilting and sewing. Her hand-sewn items & beautiful quilt creations are cherished by so many of her family and friends.
But the thing that Gaynell loved most of all was spending time with her family. Nothing pleased her more than having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren come over to her home while she would have cooked all of their favorites like Granny Gail's perfect Mac & Cheese, Pot Roast, Mississippi mud cake, Lemon blossoms & of course the famous "Stark Cafe Coconut Pie." She loved to play dominoes & board games and of course she especially loved watching the grandkids play sports.
Gaynell was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Gaynell is survived by her sons, Bobby Fox Jr. & his wife, Dianne, of Collinsville, Texas, Brian Fox & Lissa Fox of Frisco, Texas; her daughter, Brenda Carter of Weston, Texas; her 4 grandchildren, Clint, Jordan, Satin, and Preston Fox; her 4 great-grandchildren, Garrett and Jackson Fox, Savannah Murphy, and Annalese Byrd; and her brothers, Roy Stark & his wife, Cathy of Palestine Texas, Harold Stark & his wife, Martha of Woodville, Texas, and Lonnie Day of Garland Texas; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Fox Sr., her sister, Gloria Shindler, her son-in-law, Brian Carter, and her granddaughter-in-law, Krystil Fox.
