It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Robert Warren announces his passing on Monday, February 12, 2018,  at the age of 70, in Frisco, Texas.

A longtime resident of Little Elm, Texas, Gary was born February 1, 1948, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Owen Albert and Gladys Mae (Cuzzone) Warren.

Gary proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired from a long career in technology sales.  He enjoyed playing his guitars, cooking Polish and Italian food, and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football.

His true passion was helping homeless animals.  For the last three years, Gary worked as a full-time volunteer for Little Dog Rescue of North Texas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Little Elm.  He transported dozens of dogs from the shelters to the vet hospitals, to the fosters and permanent homes.  Gary personally fostered as well.  He adored his own canine family: Ranger, Bandit, Roo and Coco.

Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gail Bennison; his children, Renee and Todd Warren; stepchildren, Lindsay (Greg) Simmons, and Blake (Clare) Bennison; grandchildren, Ryan Simmons and Allison Ford; brothers, Stephen Warren and Jon Warren; sister, Shelley (John) Guiseppi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Warren, and sister, Beverly Dubois.

Private memorial services will be followed by interment at Zion Cemetery in Frisco, Texas.
