Gary was born on January 6, 1943 in Pasadena, Texas to Evelyn Jewel (Dunn) and the late Gaston O. Neal. He passed to the 19th tee box on January 26, 2018 in McKinney, Texas.
Gary grew up in Dearborn, Michigan attending Dearborn High School where he played football and baseball for the Pioneers. His career was spent representing suppliers in the automotive industry, an occupation that came naturally to a man who built cars in his garage for fun. While a member of Birmingham Country Club, Gary recorded his only career hole-in-one on the 11th hole in 1994. Upon retiring, he moved to Texas to be closer to his sons. He spent his retirement years working at the Frisco Parks and Rec. athletic fields, and training Beaux, his rescued Tennessee Walker.
Gary live a life full of love and happiness, surrounded by family and friends. He had a passion for football, golf, sailing, training and riding horses, fast cars and fixing things.
Gary is survived by his wife of 53 wonderful years, Maxine; two sons, Curt Neal and Jeff (Suzy) Neal; mother, Evelyn Neal; sister, Dr. Cynthia Neal; and his trusty steed, Beaux.
