IN LOVING MEMORY

Gary Chan

Apr 16 1974 - Jan 17 2021

Gary Chan of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 at the age of 46. He passed with his family by his side following a brave fight with cancer.

In 2004, Gary met his beloved wife Claudia through their workplace during a warehouse crisis. Claudia was appointed to track down a critical shipment and Gary was the hero who patiently helped her locate it. It was this helpfulness and patience that eventually won Claudia’s heart! The sweet couple was married in an unforgettable ceremony in December 2009 and later welcomed two daughters, Tanya and Sonya.

In the summer of 2017 the family relocated from Hong Kong to McKinney, Texas for a job opportunity. Gary and Claudia were baptized at home on December 20, 2020 accepting Jesus as their savior and joining the Frisco Community Bible Church family in faith. Gary was born again in Jesus and blessed with peace in his final days. Our Father’s loving arms are now comforting those left behind during this difficult time. Gary was a wonderful father to his two girls who loved to spend time with him riding horseback, playing football and snuggling up in front of the TV – he was their greatest playmate! Gary enjoyed playing billiards, fishing and eating hotpot with his friends. He will be remembered by both family and friends for his kindness, enthusiasm and sincerity.

Gary is survived by his loving wife Claudia Tai, their two daughters Tanya Chan and Sonya Chan, mother Po Lan Chan of Hong Kong, brothers Kwok Ming Chan and Kwok Hung Chan of Hong Kong along with a host of loving family members.
