Garthan L. Guest (“Lee”), age 72, passed away March 15, 2025, in Frisco, Texas. He was born on July 17, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, to his loving parents John G. Guest and Elizabeth W. Guest.
After graduating from Ralph McKee technical H.S. (class of 1970), Garthan briefly attended Howard University. His desire for military life led him to join the United States Air Force in April of 1974. He was honorably discharged in April of 1978, with the rank of Sgt. E-4. From there, Lee accepted a position with the United States Postal service and eventually retired in 2015.
Garthan was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed sports, organic gardening, reading, and of course cooking. In our family, Lee’s fried chicken was legendary. Garthan was also an active member of the Loyal Order Of MOOSE, and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
