Gail (Wines) Bonfiglio

Gail (Wines) Bonfiglio of Fairview, Texas passed away on March 1, 2022 at the age of 73 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 17, 1948 to Carroll Frank Wines and Doris Louise (Boen) Wines in Tacoma, Washington. Gail married the love of her life Thomas Vincent Bonfiglio on January 1, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois. She worked at 7-Eleven in many positions over her 34-year career including Director of Operations for over 130 7-Eleven stores in the Dallas, Texas area.  Following her retirement, she served as a Consultant for 7-Eleven and assisted the corporation in opening new stores in the U.S. and Canada. Her colleagues knew her as a dependable, analytical problem solver who was ready to jump in and help whenever and wherever needed. Gail and her husband Tom moved to Heritage Ranch in 2006 and came to love the Fairview and Ranch community. She was very active in community events including raising money for breast cancer research, serving on the Food and Beverage Committee for the Ranch, and the HOA Board for the Papakea Resort in Maui Hawaii. She and Tom loved hosting and participating in numerous block parties on their street and was always there to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Gail was an active member of the Creekwood United Methodist Church in Fairview. She was involved with the mission group Zoe Empowers and went on a mission trip in 2018 to India with this group. Gail and Tom loved to travel and enjoyed many trips seeing the world together as well as many trips to Maui for rest and relaxation. When home she loved crafting, making jewelry, and other objects that she sold through her personal business Out of the Ordinary. She particularly enjoyed making origami, the Japanese art of folding paper and shared her creations with family and friends.

Gai is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Wines of Fleming Island, Florida; niece, Megan Godsil of Chicago, Illinois; nephew, Joseph Godsil of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Bridget Wines-Godsil of New Orleans, Louisiana; nephew, Keller Wines of Greer, South Carolina; Eliza Wines of Smyrna, Tennessee; niece, Katherine Gillikin of Jacksonville, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bonfiglio; brother, Gary Frank Wines and sister, Judy Lynee Wines.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at Creekwood United Methodist Church, 261 Country Club Rd, Fairview, Texas 75002.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to Creekwood United Methodist Church to benefit their mission’s partnership with Zoe Empowers or to the American Cancer Society.
