Gail L. Hill, age 79, of Dallas, Texas passed away on May 2, 2023, at her home after a long illness. She was the firstborn daughter of Captain Roy Gail Shults, USN, Ret., and Oleta Childress Shults, born on August 19, 1943, in Dallas, Texas. She is pre-deceased by her daughter, Leisha Gail Burleson.
She is survived by her sister, Gretchen (George) Richards of Austin, Texas; nieces, Kimber (Justin) Graham, of Plano, Texas, and Accala (Jason) Kessler of Joplin, Missouri, great-nieces Riley Graham and Theodora Kessler and great-nephew, Duncan Graham. As a Navy child, Gail lived in many places – from Texas to New York to Guam. But, Texas is the place she called home, returning here to attend the University of Texas at Austin to study business administration. Her daughter, Leisha, was raised in Dallas where Gail had a long career in real estate and asset management. She spent her final years in telecom property management, closing out her career as the AT&T site acquisition manager.
Gail had a zest for life with a love of laughter. She especially loved her family, and adored her Pomeranian, Fluffy.
Gail will be interred at Allen Cemetery alongside her mother and the Childress family.
